About Me
Hello there! My name is Leea Ivanel -- thank you for looking around my journalism portfolio!
I moved to America when I was 10 years old from Romania, and now I live in California and attend Carlmont High School.
This is my second year Journalism, and I'm currently an opinion writer for Scot Scoop, our news website which won the national Pacemaker Award last year, and I write features for the Highlander, our award-winning school newspaper.
Overall, journalism has been a great experience. While it was (a little more than) frustrating at times, I have come to love it and learn a lot from it, both about myself and about my writing.
I can't wait for next years class, deadlines and all-nighters and everything else that comes along with it. I can't wait to be part of a team of people who care and are passionate about writing and making a mark on their school again, and I can't wait to start writing once more.
